Suns out, summer vacations on. Beach days, hikes, summer get togethers, and all those fun outdoor activities can leave your skin screaming for help.
The sun isn't all bad, it's great for regulating sleep cycle and mood (don't you always feel better when you get a little sun). However, it can in excess cause hyperpigmentation, collagen loss, and earlier signs of aging.
But did you know that plants are allies to help defend against sun damage? Yep, it's actually true.
Studies show SPF works better when paired with antioxidant rich skincare to prevent and repair free radicals that steal your skin's healthy hydrated youthful glow.
Plant extracts and plant lipids naturally packed with vitamins A, B, C, & E, plus carotenoids, lycopene, and flavonoids help protect against sun damage and early signs of aging. Not that aging is bad..because it isn’t. Repeat after me, you are beautifully perfect at any age.
Plants are pretty amazing since the combination of the right plants provide a photoprotective effect because they each protect against different aspects of skin damage.
What does that all mean? Antioxidants + sunscreen = glowing happy healthy skin
A Hat! Whether it be floppy or a baseball cap. You'll want basically anything that shades the sun off your face, ears, and provides more protection. Look for one that has UV protection of 50.
Sunglasses protect your eyes from bright sun and also prevent squinting that after time causes fine lines around your eyes and that annoying 11 between the brows.
This antioxidant rich duo feeds your skin all those plant extracts I talked about above. Phyto Tonic and Glow Getter, better known as the Glow Duo, are plant allies to repair sun damage and give your skin a plump, healthy, happy hydrated glow.
So don’t run from the sun! Everything in moderation, right? But do find shade, stay hydrated, visit your dermatologist to checkups, and reach for your favorites to help prevent and repair skin from uv damage.
Do you love the Glow Duo? Leave a review here. Haven’t tried the 2 Holy Grails yet, check them out here.
