Blemishes always seem to flare up at the most inconvenient times - like before a big meeting or even a wedding. But I've got your back!
Here are 5 simple ways help you reduce breakouts quickly (and prevent them from happening in the first place).
Double cleansing is one of the best ways to reduce breakouts!
Start with a cleansing balm to remove makeup, sunscreen, and excess oil from your skin without stripping it of any essential moisture.
Then, for a deeper cleanse, follow it up with a second cleanser! Our Clay Play mask doubles as a gentle cleanser with ingredients like oats, ginger, and rosehip to soothe and reduce blemishes.
As tempting (and satisfying) as it might be, picking and popping pimples can cause WAY more harm than good - trust me! It will only cause redness and swelling, and it makes the blemish more likely to scar. Who wants to deal with that?!
So it's best to avoid the DIY pimple popping and leave the extractions to trained professionals.
A common misconception about acne-prone skin is that you need to cut all oils from your skincare routine. This couldn't be further from the truth! Here are just a few oils included in our Glow-Getter Radiant and Blemish Free Serum that can actually help reduce breakouts:
Tea tree oil is a rockstar ingredient for acne-prone skin! It's antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, so it can help soothe and reduce redness of active blemishes.
Black cumin seed oil has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties that make it perfect for acne-prone skin.
Rosehip seed oil is high in linoleic acid and regulates our skin's oil levels, resulting in fewer breakouts.
Rosehip seed oil, kakadu plum, a plant-based vitamin C, and black cumin seed oil can also help reduce hyperpigmentation!
Exfoliating ingredients speed up skin cell turnover. They reduce blemishes by getting rid of excess oil and dead skin cells that clog your pores.
The best part is, many of these same ingredients are also multi-taskers that are antibacterial and can quickly reduce inflammation and swelling. What more could you ask for?!
Willow bark and moth bean extract are two more ingredients that make our Glow-getter Radiant & Blemish Free Serum effective at reducing blemishes!
Willow bark extract increases skin cell turnover and keeps pores clear. It's also a fantastic anti-inflammatory ingredient.
Moth bean extract is a natural, plant-based alternative to retinol that speeds up cellular turnover. It also boosts collagen production, making it a great anti-aging ingredient as well!
Additionally, our Clay Play Cleansing Grain & Purifying Mask can be used to gently exfoliate (manual and enzyme exfoliators) and soothe blemish-prone skin.
Pro tip: Try mixing Glow-getter and Clay Play to create a paste and use it as an overnight spot treatment!
When we experience stress, our body produces more cortisol, a hormone that helps us deal with stress. Cortisol spikes can lead to acne flare-ups, so learning how to reduce stress can nourish both your skin and your soul!
One of my favorite ways to unwind is with our Berry Bright Polishing & Brightening Enzyme Mask and a glass of wine.
But there are so many other ways to carve out Me Time, whether it's practicing meditation, reading a book, or taking an extra-long bath. There's no wrong way to practice self-care, so choose whichever methods work best for you!
With these tips, you'll be able to bring on the glow and wave goodbye to blemishes!

Puffy eyes and dark circles under the eyes are annoying problems that we all experience at some point in our lives. They can be caused by age, allergies, lack of sleep, poor diet, and even sun damage. Did you know the eye area tends to show signs of aging more quickly? Overtime, you lose collagen and skin thins.
